Mission Statement

The Jersey Access Group (JAG)
is a forum for exchanging information that promotes
quality operations for New Jersey’s public, education,
and government (PEG) television stations for the purpose
of educating and informing the public about their communities.


Goal

• Educate, inform, and promote community involvement through PEG Station Programming
• Share information about station operating procedures, staffing, & volunteers
• Aid in the initial formation of new PEG stations
• Advise of any new developments in the television industry
• Share programs that may be of potential interest to other communities
• Develop a master operating guide of member stations’ documentation
• Provide an avenue for joint production ventures
• Share problem solving strategies
• Assist members with information about capital equipment purchases
• Provide information concerning qualified vendors in specific areas of expertise
• Discover funding and equipment donation sources
• Evaluate group-purchasing possibilities
• Aid in maintaining the integrity and professionalism of New Jersey’s PEG stations
• Share information regarding franchise renewal, negotiations, and interaction with cable providers
